EDITOR'S NOTES
In this season of elections and the oft-repeated call for change, more than one candidate has issued a call to action to his or her constituents (or prospective constituents). In the spirit of civic participation, two of our columnists have a call to action for you. If the proverbial squeaky wheel gets the grease, then now's the time to make some noise. This month, Doug Findley and Gordon Aronson invite you to contact Primavera and provide feedback. What do you like about its systems? What would you like to see change? With the recent buy-out by Oracle, Primavera will undoubtedly experience some changes and adjustments. If you want your voice to be heard, now's the time to act. Don't know where to start? Then do it through our website. The WPL Publishing staff will attend the Primavera convention in Las Vegas in November. We plan to sit down with Primavera CEO and co-founder Joel Koppelman and ask him questions sent in by our readers. Leave your questions and comments - as technical or generic as you want them to be -- in the Comments box at the end of each article. We'll report back with his answers after the convention. If you prefer to send your questions privately, e-mail them to

What does the Autodesk-Bentley partnership mean for the future of building information modeling? For starters, it'll make life a lot easier for users, says John Jurewicz. But, does the agreement really promote true integration? Only time will tell, Jurewicz says.
COST CONTROL AND DELAY CLAIMS
Delays are part of almost every project. Larry True offers some advice on how to prepare for a delay claim, even when the contract includes a no-damage-for-delay clause.
P3 FEATURES: WE WANT THEM ... YESTERDAY!
With Oracle's recent acquisition of Primavera, Gordon Aronson is asking if the P3 features Primavera keeps promising will ever materialize. This month, he includes a call to action for schedulers frustrated with the migration away from construction-based scheduling software.
ORACLE ACQUIRES PRIMAVERA
Oracle has entered into an agreement to acquire Primavera Software. The combined resources of both companies will provide a first-of-its-kind comprehensive enterprise project portfolio management solution, according to a press release released by Oracle.
