EDITOR'S NOTES
Welcome to the premiere issue of Construction Project Controls. The old joke about the job's not done 'til the paperwork's finished has never been more appropriate. Cost, schedule, document, safety, logistic and environmental considerations make necessary more data management then ever before. Add to this the front-end design component and back end facilities management, the need for clear, efficient communications is paramount.

With this timely newsletter accompanied by free special reports, we'll provide useful insight into the particulars of the disparate project control systems, how they can better serve you and how to deal with conflicts between different systems used by different members of the project team.

We have held off this issue another week in order to send it when the P3-to-Project Manager Transition Guide was ready for distribution. The Guide, in turn, took extra time to go through several edits, including review by Primavera for accuracy. It is now ready and can be downloaded by accessing the Transition Guide article below. Thank you for your patience.
