The P3-to-Project Manager Transition Guide was written to assist with migrating from Primavera Project Planner (P3) to Primavera Engineering & Construction (P3e/c) and Primavera Contractor. Project Manager is the comparable component of P3e/c-Contractor that contains all the functionality of P3.

In part, the Guide is intended to remove some of the "intimidation" factor of dealing with a new product, especially one with increased complexity and capabilities. For those planning on formal training, the Guide will help get a head start. It's also a refresher for those who have taken training, but have not had the opportunity to get hands on use until now. As with any software, especially contemporary event-driven Windows-based products, there are numerous options, process and choices that can be overwhelming and baffling, and its nice to have guidance and reassurance that you are on the right track.

The Transition Guide, written for the current version of both products (Version 4.1), will be updated after 5.0 is introduced. Meanwhile, your feedback is invited -- tell us things you have uncovered that we haven't or where we can improve the value of the Guide.
